Here are a few more pictures
of Amber. She loves to play in and around
the pool. We took her to a dog show to just walk
around and see what it was like. A nice lady gave
her a pretty bandana to wear around her neck.
St. Paul's did "The King and
I" for their school play this year. Valerie played
the role of Lady Thiang (the King's head wife).
The kids worked really hard putting the show together
and have every reason to be proud of the results.
Check out Valerie's black hair!
I included one shot of Amanda
in her "Mean Girls" costume. She and some friends
dressed up for their friend Christina's sweet sixteen
Valerie graduated from 8th
grade this year. St. Paul's puts on quite a
ceremony to send off the 8th graders as they leave for
high school. Included here are some pictures of
Valerie in the graduation dress that Sue made for
especially for her. Hey -- guess who
got her braces off!
Valerie and her friend
Danielle sang a duet at morning Chapel on graduation day.
Listen to it here.

a circular ledge. We had a great day, with calm seas
and 40+ ft. visibility.
We finally bought a boat.
It's a 2003 Pursuit 2470 with twin Yamaha 150 outboards.
It was very well maintained and, with only 61 hours on the
motors, it's practically like having a brand new boat.
Chris is really excited about spending more time on the
We decided to vacation at home
this year instead of doing our usual trip to Key Largo.
Sue and the girls did a lot of relaxing and Chris spent
several days "bonding with the boat". We also spent a
day at Bush Gardens riding roller coasters and visiting
We took the family up to
Wilmington in September for Mechelle and Sean's wedding.
They had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Scotland Run
Golf Club. It was great to see everybody and meet some
members of Sean's family.
While we were in the area, we
also took some time to visit with my cousin Donny, Aunt
Judy, and Vic. We spent a relaxing afternoon at a
Chris, Bob, and Justin took a
trip out to Rube Allan reef. They dove the old Sand
Key bridge rubble and some other artificial reef structure
near the Rube Allan center buoy. Both sites are about
50 feet deep. Vis was about 15 feet.
